Westobou Festival

Empowering and Showcasing Augusta’s Contemporary Art

Westobou is a non-profit arts organization dedicated to enriching the cultural fabric of Augusta’s River Region. They work to provide artists with the opportunity to showcase their work through the Westobou Gallery in downtown Augusta, an Artist-in-Residence program, studio spaces, Project Commissions, and other special events.

Originally created by the Fleming Foundation as a pop-up Festival in 2008, Westobou has evolved into a season of events and exhibitions in a year-round Gallery space on Broad Street. Westabou is now a completely indepdent organization that plans to grow into an arts center with all programming under one roof - creating even more opportunities for artists with a greater impact for the Augusta community.

The Westobou mission is to support artists and their ideas to create engaging, creative and thought-provoking artistic experiences.
