The Porter Fleming Application is Open!

The Porter Fleming Fund is now accepting applications for its 2024 grants! Established in 1963 by Berry Fleming in honor of his father, the Fund has enriched the cultural, artistic, and educational legacy of Augusta and its surrounding counties for over half a century. If you have a project that aligns with our mission to support creative and scholarly endeavors, this is your chance to apply!
Application Deadline: February 1, 2024
Whether your organization is historical, environmental, cultural, or artistic, so long as you have a vision to enhance our community, we encourage you to submit your application before the February 1st deadline. Applications received after this date will not be considered, so don’t wait!
What’s Eligible?
Grants support projects in areas such as:
Artistic and literary works
Historical preservation
Scientific and cultural enrichment
Community art initiatives
Examples of past projects include funding innovative arts programs, bringing subject experts to Augusta, and supporting local festivals and exhibits. Grants are not intended for marketing expenses, political campaigns, or projects typically funded by government resources.

Download an application, fill it out, and deliver three copies to the Secretary, Trustees of the Academy of Richmond County, Post Office Box 2485, Augusta, Georgia 30903
Fill out the application online! Using the link on the Application page, you can find an electronic version of the application that will even save your progress when you close out and come back! Just be sure to use the same computer to recover your progress.

Grant Notification: Early March 2024
Check Distribution: March or April 2024
There is no cap on grant amounts, but awards are based solely on the merit and quality of the proposed projects.
